UMAMI Burger's Recruiting Manager manages the ongoing recruitment efforts for URG, URGP and Legacy Restaurants. Specifically, he/she will be responsible for staffing new properties to manage all recruiting aspects/functions of this rapidly expanding Restaurant Group. He/she will also manage defining staffing needs, sourcing strategies, implementation of best practices and the overall development of a recruiting process. Additional areas of responsibility include: job fair planning and execution, processing new hire paperwork and general HR administrative work. RESPONSIBILITIES: The Recruiter will be responsible for the following which will include, but are not limited to: • Conduct recruitment effort for all exempt and non-exempt personnel for new openings. • Coordinate the employment requisition/applicant flow process. Responsibilities include: a. Write and place employment advertisements online b. Write and maintain requisition information including job descriptions, approvals and postings c. Input applicant tracking information, disposition of interviews and close requisitions upon hire • Source candidates. Responsibilities include: a. Source potential candidates via internet sites, contact lists, employee referrals, etc. b. Review and assess resumes, prescreen and filter online jobs inbox c. Conduct pre-screens, interviews and make recommendations to management d. Coordinate final candidates interview and offer process e. Conduct reference checking, background checks and drug screens ( where necessary/applicable) • Coordinate and execute employment events such as job fairs, open houses, campus recruiting events, etc. a. Research job boards and online databases • Conduct market research for compensation, salary, benefits, relocation expenses, etc. and negotiate offers accordingly • Coordinate the on-boarding process for employees. Responsibilities include: a. Send offer letters (internal and external) upon hire decision b. Communicate verbally and/or send regret letters to each unselected candidate c. Maintain contact with high potential unselected candidates and key industry contacts to establish a solid referral network d. Coordinate all steps of new hire paperwork • Conduct new hire orientation for all employees • Build strong relationships with hiring managers and human resources partners to influence, guide and drive the recruiting process • Facilitate partnership strategy meetings and identify appropriate sourcing strategies to include the writing of job descriptions and assistance with organizational development • Assist with general day-to-day HR administrative duties MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Problem Solving--the individual identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully • Interpersonal Skills--the individual maintains confidentiality, remains open to others' ideas and exhibits willingness to try new things • Oral Communication--the individual speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, demonstrates group presentation skills and conducts meetings • Written Communication--the individual edits work for spelling and grammar, presents numerical data effectively and is able to read and interpret written information • Planning/Organizing--the individual prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans • Quality Control--the individual demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality • Adaptability--the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events • Dependability--The individual is consistently at work on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance • Safety and Security--the individual actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures, and uses equipment and materials properly SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: •Previous experience Recruiting for new openings in the field of Restaurants, Hotels or Nightclubs required • Basic knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures required •A minimum of 5 years previous relevant work experience, ideally in the hospitality industry •Previous experience as a Human Resources generalist is a plus as well as basic knowledge of databases and automated recruiting tools • Flexibility to travel as needed to assist with job fairs and open calls for new venue hiring/openings •Proficiency in desktop computer use, Microsoft Office programs and internet database research EDUCATION: Bachelor Degree in business, Human Resources or related area preferred www.umamiburger.com EOE
