Valencia Company is in need of a Corporate Business Writer with the following experience: Provides writing and editorial services within the organization to support effective communications. Position involves working in a team environment providing support to various departments in the production of communication pieces and proposals. • Develop project content using any number of multimedia formats that can be read, listened to, or viewed onscreen. • Edit content from internal team members for a variety of print and online use, including, but not limited to, proposals, contract bids, web pages, video scripts, advertising and management communications. • Assists with quality assurance and content editing for online applications and web content. • Edit and review to include condensing, correcting or arranging written material, images, sound, or video with the objective of preparing it for final presentation. • Prepare and edit contract bids/proposals before submission to improve the quality of, and to ensure clarity, grammar, understanding as well as conformity to company style as well as edit and revise all content before the due date. • Update and maintain 'market basket' data that is relevant and appropriate. • Develop effective methods for presenting and organizing information within contract bids/proposals and other communications, such as the use of tables, graphs and graphics. • Identify relevant sources for data gathering. • Select photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams and charts to illustrate material effectively, as required. • Perform ad-hoc writing/editing as needed. • Attend regular and impromptu meetings and company-sponsored training, as required Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing or English preferred, or combination of Associate Degree and relevant work experience and/or training. Strong use of Microsoft Office programs and ability to learn and gain knowledge of the web-based and integrated database systems. High degree of verbal and written communication skills, with professional daily interaction with internal and/or external customers.
