Medicus Research, LLC is looking for a Scientific Coordinator with the following skills and requirements: Basic Duties and Responsibilities: • Attend industry events and trade shows • Visit clients and potential clients at their offices • Host clients and potential clients at our facility • Attend conference calls with clients to understand their project requirements • Follow up by email and phone with potential clients • Format contracts and send to clients and potential clients • Use and update Customer Relations Management (CRM) software with all client related activity • Perform scientific literature searches on dietary supplements, functional foods, and pharmaceutical ingredients including description of component parts, mechanism of action, and summaries of pre-clinical and clinical data • Download references from literature searches • Write scientific summaries (with annotations) for the background and introduction for proposal • Create draft proposals (including budgets) using existing templates • Present proposals to CEO for review and make all required changes/corrections/additions • Interface with document team to format and produce documents • Interface with Lab Supervisor to obtain lab vendor quotes required for proposal • Interface with outside procedure and equipment vendors to obtain service and equipment quotes required for proposal Requirements • Scientific and/or Professional Degree - minimum Masters Degree (doctorate level preferred) - Acceptable degrees also include PhD, MD, DO, RD, etc. • Experience with preparation of proposals, managing contracts and formulating budgets, and handling change orders to client request within deadlines • Basic knowledge of drug development activities and regulatory requirements within the pharmaceutical industry • Excellent writing and communication skills • Excellent analytical skills • Ability to get complex and scientific points across clearly and succinctly • Strong planning and organizational skills with ability to multi-task and plan activities • Experience leading and working within cross-functional teams, and a proven ability to establish relationships at all levels of clients (sponsors, contract vendors, consultants, etc.) • Highly developed diplomatic negotiation and interpersonal skills and the ability to influence without formal authority • Ability to solve problems, build teams, and to lead and motivate others • Advanced computer skills (Microsoft applications, spreadsheets and data displays, etc.) • Proven ability to perform independently and to work well within a team structure • Willing and able to travel Interested applicants may send their comprehensive resume with application letter and salary history to lucy.msryan@medicusresearch.com
